Nagambie Wine Tour

My friend Susanne and I joined about 20 other people from our gym on a cycling wine tour around the town of Nagambie, which sits on the Goulburn River, about 20 mins off the Hume Fwy on the road to Shepparton. We visited three Wineries and had a wonderful time. We rode 42km for the day, and besides a very sore bottom, there were no other injuries and, most importantly for Susanne and I, no wimping out and hitching a ride in the ute. It didn't rain once (Melbourne had shocking weather the whole weekend) and you just can't beat great company and great food.

Ready to leave the motel for our epic ride.

Leaving Mitchelton Winery for our long 20km ride back into Nagambie. Bottoms were starting to feel sore here and the next 14k's was on gravel. Ouch!

The next day we pootled down the Goulburn River for about 10kms in lovely wide, sturdy canoes. We finished our weekend with lunch on the banks of the river and then drove back to Melbourne and our real lives.
