Before and After

This obviously would have been better with a 'before' photo but just imagine this cupboard filled to the brim with unused toys, an old bedside table and plenty of other crap. As with most of my ideas, things happen quite quickly. I emptied out the cupboard, measured the inside, drove to Ikea, looked at storage solutions, measured and wrote things down, dragged Bruce (who, I must admit, is very accomodating to my instant ideas and also instant solutions) back there that night and hey presto, we have a Sophie sized storage solution for toys and dress ups! She loves it as it offers easy access to toys and I love it because it's easy to clean up and at last her room is more than just a junk storage place. Got to love Ikea (and my ideas!)

Family photo for Prep

The Preps are doing a family unit at school and everyone is required to bring in a photo. This was our silly version. The normal version went to school.

Ballet

Sophie started ballet today. She listened to her teacher, Miss Lisa, and did lots of fun things like jump, hop, stretch, hold her ballet skirt and dance to music. There are 12 little girls in the 3 yr old group and they all looked gorgeous in their ballet uniforms.

Torren starts Prep at Westgarth

Who can believe that little Torren Tiger is ready for school? He can! He was a little anxious during the school holidays but after meeting Holly (his teacher) the day before he started, he seemed to look forward to school. We haven't been able to get much information out of him but they learnt about the number 2 yesterday (the number and the word) and he has been enjoying doing puzzles.

Mason starts Grade 2

Today was Mason's first day in Grade 2. His teacher's name is Barbara. They are in the Library at the moment but when the new building is finished in March, 1/2 Barb, 1/2 Kenji and 1/2 Jo will be moving into brand new classrooms with an emphasis on cross learning between the three classes. This is a very exciting time for everyone.
