New Years Eve

We took the train into Yarra Park (the MCG) to see the free concert and family fireworks. A very hot day turned into a very pleasant evening sitting on the grass taking in the atmosphere.

Christmas In Melbourne

Our first Christmas at home in Melbourne. Luckily Santa knew where we were (there was some concern that he could go to Adelaide looking for us) and was extremely generous with his gift giving. Bikes, a scooter, Lego, Polly Pocket, DVD's, a fairy dress, books and more Lego found their way under the tree.

I was lucky enough to get a new table and chairs setting for our courtyard. The kids helped Santa Bruce put it together on Christmas Eve and I had a lot of fun 'dressing' it for Christmas lunch. It fits perfectly.

Look at all that yummy food! We had a BBQ Christmas Feast for lunch. What a great day.

Big brothers are good to have around.

Today is Sophie's 4th birthday. According to her, she turned 4 on the day of her party which was 4 days ago. There wasn't really any point explaining to her that it was a few days later and there was a little bit of confusion this morning; 'But I am already 4!' She got quite a few presents which she was more than happy to open and the one from Grandma and Grandpa was the biggest of all. The only things was, it came in about 100 separate bits that had to be assembled. Never fear, that's what 8 yr old brothers are for. A bit of a read of the instruction sheet, a few clicks, twists, twirls and a clap of the hands, and hey presto, we have a Furry Frenzies ramp track thingy made.
