Ready, set, go!

A day out with friends

We visited Anne's friend Annette and her family who have a holiday house near Wye River on the Great Ocean Rd. The Bowler's introduced the Kullmann's to Orienteering back in 1979 so they are old friends indeed! They used to go camping every year at Bremer Bay and later at Fitzgerald River National Park. Rosemary and Willy and Heather and John (Annette's parents) have been friends since the 60's when they were all members of YHA. Heather passed away in September last year, just a month after Willy.

Annette now lives in Vietnam so it was lovely to see them and we spent a wonderful day at their beach side 'tree house' and quite a few hours at Separation Creek beach. The kids had a ball and it took many tries to get them to leave! We look forward to seeing Annette, John, Lola and Hazel when they next come for their annual holiday.

Sophie starts her athletic career

Sophie raced the boys up and down the driveway a dozen times and even had her starting stance all worked out!

Dressing up

The boys have discovered a love of dressing up. They each have pirate and cowboy outfits and of course Sophie has a tutu and fairy wings, although she had us all in hysterics when she appeared outside to show her Dad and brothers that girls can also be pirates. She couldn't stop smiling.
