Xmas 5 days and Werribee Zoo

While Bruce completed day trips to compete in the Orienteering 5 days around Bendigo and Creswick, Anne and the kids caught up with their friends Sarah, Mick, Will, Isabelle and new baby Olivia at Werribee Zoo. They of course chose the busiest day of the year but the kids enjoyed seeing each other again and weren't really that interested in the animals!

Bruce completed all 5 days but was not that happy with his results. He found out a week later that he had pneumonia and that was why he was struggling to run fast. After two courses of antibiotics it has cleared up and he is back to full training.

Christmas Day 2008

There were lots of presents, lots of unwrapping and lots of playing! We all had a great day and it was a shame that we had to pack up and leave on Boxing Day.

So many things to do...

We had some time to ourselves before Christmas Day as Clive and Marian were working, so we had trips to Adelaide Zoo, St Kilda playground, the local pool and also met up with our friends David, Jodie and Harrison Preiss at the Brewery Lights. The kids also enjoyed playing with their cousin, Lauren.

Mt Lofty lookout

On our way to Adelaide for Christmas, we stopped off at Mt Lofty on a clear, hot day to take in the view over Adelaide and the gulf. The kids enjoyed stretching their legs after the very long car trip and Sophie was just happy to get out of her car seat.

Westgarth Xmas concert

Mason took part in his school's Christmas concert which involved singing several songs, including one in Greek. It was fantastic and the parents thoroughly enjoyed it. All the kids got into the Christmas spirit and it was a very colourful site in the gym.

Sophie's 2nd birthday

Sophie had help from Mason and Torren when she opened her presents. She enjoyed playing with her kitchen and microwave and has since 'cooked' many things, including her blankie, various lego men and cars.

She was a bit apprehensive about the candles on her cake but very happy when it came time to eat it!
